# Bills and subscriptions

> Keep expected bills distinct from recorded payments and check the evidence behind changes.

Bills helps you track saved payment expectations and recurring charges found in your records. An expected bill is not proof that a payment has happened.

## Read the payment state

Keep paid, pending, overdue and estimated amounts separate. Missing due dates stay unknown. A saved bill can remain useful even when the transaction history is too incomplete for a recurring-spending comparison.

## Check a change

A larger recorded payment is a reason to inspect the bill. It does not establish a price increase, a new contract or fraud by itself. Compare like-for-like periods and check the underlying statement or supplier document.

Contract comparisons use reference prices rather than live offers. Check current eligibility and terms with the supplier before switching.

## Ask your assistant

```text theme={null}
Which recorded bills are due in the next month? Separate expected amounts
from paid amounts and point out unknown due dates or stale evidence.
```

Your assistant cannot pay a bill, switch a contract, refresh a bank connection or renew bank consent. Manage bank connections in Geldee.
