# ChatGPT and Dots

> Connect through a custom MCP plugin and understand the shared authorization used by Dots.

Use Geldee's setup in [Settings → Connect your AI](https://app.geldee.com/settings#ai). Custom MCP setup depends on what is enabled for your ChatGPT account or organization.

**1. Add a custom MCP connection**

In ChatGPT's plugin or connector settings, add a custom MCP server named Geldee. Use this address with OAuth:

```text theme={null}
https://mcp.geldee.com/mcp
```

Follow the setup available in your account. There is no public Geldee marketplace listing promised by these docs.

**2. Connect and approve**

Connect Geldee and complete the browser consent in Geldee. Review permissions, accounts, expiry and the external-sharing acknowledgement.

**3. Use it in your conversation**

Enable the connection, then ask the [first question](https://docs.geldee.com/ai/quickstart.md). Confirm a permitted read before relying on an explanation.

## Dots

Dots uses the same ChatGPT plugin authorization. Connect through ChatGPT first. Geldee groups the connection as **ChatGPT & Dots**; disconnecting or reducing its access affects both. These docs do not claim a separate Dots grant.

## If custom connections are unavailable

Check your client's current account features or organization policy. Do not substitute a token pasted into chat. You can use another supported [connection path](https://docs.geldee.com/ai/overview.md).
